Ermin Fergerstrom has been training in the Martial Arts for most of his life. Starting at 5 years old, he trained in Judo and Boxing through his grade school years. From the age of 16, Ermin joined a Kempo Karate school and trained regularly and consistently from that point forward. He obtained a Black belt in Kempo, then dove into Brazilian Jiujitsu and everything else MMA related. He currently holds a 3rd degree Black belt in BJJ. Ermin helped open and eventually took over the operation of Brazilian Freestyle Jiujitsu on Maui, later opening and serving as head trainer of Maui Martial Arts. Over his career, he has competed professionally in BJJ and MMA. He has trained literally thousands of kids and adults in Martial Arts and produced many BJJ and MMA champions. He now has over 50 years of training and over 30 years of coaching under his belt.
